蘇匯宇創作風格深受當代次文化與普羅文化的影響。從小愛看電視，也愛聽流行歌曲，這就是他的生活。對他這樣的電視兒童來說，電視跟自己的人生是密切疊合的。以看似詼諧戲謔的手法，試圖在今日東區消費文化充斥與偶像崇拜的高度傳媒環境中，提供一種看待週遭社會百態的可能性，透過作品來反思「電視」在我們生活裡的影響力，表達生活深陷於 MTV 與流行樂的狀態，所產生的一種奇特後遺症，討論通俗流行文化跟自己的關係。
Su Hue-Yu’s creative style has been strongly influenced by contemporary sub cultures and popular culture. He has been an avid watcher of TV and a fan of pop music since childhood . For a child such as Su, television has been an important part of his life. By adopting what appears to be a comical approach, the artist attempts to make it possible to view the society around us in all its glory. Today, he does this in east Taipei, an area dominated by consumer culture and obsessed with celebrities. The piece makes us reflect the influence of “television” in our lives while expressing the idea that being immersed in MTV and pop music culture creates a distinctive after effect, discussing the relationship between such culture and oneself.
