黃蘭雅以個人情感、生命、記憶、身體等經驗狀態，將自我內在的抽象情感透過「熱熔膠」的材質來表達。而「熱熔膠」的特色，就像生命胚胎成形的最初，是來自於液體的流動狀態，隨著演變漸漸轉化固定成形，而這種柔軟可塑卻又堅固強韌的特質，正呼應生命本質多變堅韌的無限可能。作品中充滿了色彩鮮豔豐富的各種有機形體，彷彿一朵朵初開綻放的美麗花朵，於花店內與真實的自然植物彼此對應，營造虛實夢境般的世界。
Huang Lan-Ya makes use of emotional, life, physical and memory experiences to express her own feelings - using a glue gun. The essence of the glue gun is similar to that of an embryo in its initial stages. It starts life as a flowing liquid state and evolves gradually into a more fixed shape. This combination of malleability and durability echos the infinite possibilities of the irregularity and strength in life. The piece is filled with various brightly colored organic shapes, like a flower shop’s rich array of blooming flowers contrasted with real plants, creating a world that combines reality and artificiality.
