From sunrise to sunset, Mother Nature spends every day quietly doing what she does best, with her own distinctive frequency. As we deal with the hustle and bustle of daily life, we all yearn for the green lushness of mountain forests and finding Zenique, a small teashop hidden down an alleyway in the city, is like stumbling across a sanctuary from city life. Here you can sit down and relax, make a pot of tea and imagine yourself wandering through a forest, breathing in nature, embracing simple harmony.

As the broadcasting media becomes ever larger and faster in modern society and we seek change in the complexity of the huge volumes of information that confronts us, fragments of images, languages, messages are assembled together into a new language for the times, but we often forget that life actually comes from the simplest thing of all – Nature.

The work of Mizutani Atsushi seeks inspiration from nature. In a hidden secret mirror we are surprised to discover landscapes of disappeared and long forgotten memories. The magical language and imaginary lines presented, transport us into a world of fairy stories, where make believe composites of plants look like people but appear weak, unsupported and absurd. The artist creates an environment that is completely different to the one we know and it is here, between the make believe scenes and characters, that something primitive is awoken in us, a desire for a pure and simple life.
