VVG Bistro is like a small secret garden. Individuals push aside the grass curtain to the courtyard as they follows the fragrant smell of bread, treading carefully into this magical garden hidden in the depths of the city. Gorgeous smells emanate from the open kitchen, with all kinds of creative dishes available, encouraging one to slow down, to take a big breath and just let one’s taste buds savor this one perfect moment in life.

The hustle and bustle of life often prevents us from seeing things and we often create friction with the people, events and objects around us without even knowing it, forgetting the beauty of simplicity as it in the very beginning of life. In Chih-Jung Lu’s work, negative feelings are transformed into small monsters. These are then painted in bright colors and placed in organic shapes, a return to the simplicity of natural purity. Lined up together, the little monsters whisper to one another, unburdening themselves of those less than perfect fragments of life.
