藝術家徐永旭所創作的作品擺脫了「陶」原本固有材質與尺寸上的限制，以「極大極薄化」作為表現的語彙，作品以單一或成雙的群聚方式展現，透過身體不斷的以按、壓、擠、捏、磋、疊等方式來形塑作品，當創作的身體置身於流動的狀態中，不斷的在過去與未來之間循環、堆積、繁衍、流動，厚重材質反而有了一種輕盈的巨大量感，此外加上光影與空間虛實相映的對照，讓現場氛圍顯現出具劇場特質的詩性。

Hsu’s work goes beyond the limit of “pottery” in terms of material and scale. Based on the concept of “maximum scale and minimum thickness”, Hsu’s work is a cluster of singles and pairs built by physical forces: pushing, pressing, squeezing, pinching, rubbing, and layering. His pieces cycle constantly back and forth between the past and future, the movements juxtaposing the heaviness of the materials with weightless presence. With the combination of light and shadows and reality and deception, the exhibition resembles a poetic release.
