在藝術家黃華真的作品中,可以看見以濃稠堆疊的中性色料與明顯的筆觸,書寫出一種在距離之外看似模糊曖昧卻直指真實而溫潤的情感。

「我們不斷地相遇,然後分離。在每一段關係中,經歷著不同的密度與厚度;而現在我試著描繪其中具溫度的部份,那些局部與瞬間在我看來是光。它甚具溫柔敦厚的特質,能將安定凝結並且穿透破碎的緒念,然後成為一種溫熱的指引。於是一直行走在當下的我們有了打起精神成就未來的勇氣—為著這個重要的工作,努力不停止呼吸、汲取營養並且來回繁忙地勞動著。」

寢臥空間之內留下的想像,或許就是這般種種關於人、事、光影、記憶、相遇與分離的生活碎片,輕巧卻又如此縈繞。


Huang paints with coarse, thick strokes in neutral colors. When viewed from afar, the paintings appear vague and ambiguous but somehow they more accurately represent real and warm feelings.

“It is a repetitive pattern in which we meet and go on our separate ways. Relationships differ in density and thickness. I try to render the tender part of all that comes across as lights in my eyes. By retaining stability and connecting fragmented thoughts, the gentle and honest nature of a relationship becomes the tender love that gives us the courage to keep going—to complete important tasks, to make an effort to keep on living, growing and working.”

The paintings in the bedroom perhaps are the weightless but lingering fragments in our lives, from people, things, and memories, to light and shadows, to meetings and partings.
