事物的界線該如何定義?或許嚴格來說,所謂的區分都是人為、差異都帶有強求,讓我們對於最初的本質反而視而不見。藝術家戴翰泓表示:「我想挪動界線、或製造界線,讓界線和原本隱藏在界線兩端的事物同時顯現。不是給出什麼答案,而是回到那個分歧點、被固定之前的世界。」

《柱子椅子》中的柱腳、椅、以及窄細的連接處,其實是同一支木料削成,而非黏著拼接。藝術家將廢棄木柱削縮成家具的尺度,讓「變化」在同一個地方流轉,所謂的界線一大小、新舊、命名,看起來是像是相互對立的,但或許放下這一切,我們可以更接近樹木原來的樣子。

How do we draw the line between this and that? Critically speaking, we have all been blinded by manmade definitions and forced differences, which prevent us from seeing the true nature of things. Artist Tai Han-Hong said “I want to shift the existing boundaries or simply make new ones to highlight what has been hidden on either side of the boundary. I do not wish to offer a fixed answer, but rather to return to the point of departure, to a world before any definition was given.”

Rather than gluing its parts together, Pillar Chair has its four legs carved out of one piece of wood. The artist transforms discarded wooden pillars into furniture as an attempt to retain “the changes”. The so-called boundaries—big vs. small, new vs. old, as well as different names, appear to be mutually contradictory. If only we were willing to let go, we would be able to see the chair as what it was—a tree.

Based on some avant-garde and humanistic concepts, é lan Hair Concept’s roots are in hairstyling. The salon has been featured in many boutiques and advertisement shoots. It has also taken an active role in education and training. Driven by the passion for trendy hairstyles and the belief of aesthetics, the salon is constantly evolving, introducing a variety of fashion hair styling to Taipei’s East District.
