藝術家以經緯度標示出鈕約的一棟建築物,並以廣告看版的大型輸出形式,展示於餐廳的玻璃牆面。因為他相信透過經緯度來顯示所在地,是最直接並且讓人容易理解。同時,藝術家建立了全球店家資訊「 http://global-store.info 」的網絡,來傳遞全球化的概念:就像位於「曼哈頓的電腦商城」和位於「台北巷弄的餐廳」,原來我們居住的城市都是在同一個平面上,沒有什麼差異性。
咫尺 ? 天涯 ?遠近不是現代人該花時間焦慮的問題 !
The artist uses longitude/latitude to express the location of a building in New York in addition to a print-out the size of an advertising hoarding (which is displayed on the glass wall of a restaurant). Because he believes that expressing location according to longitude/latitude is the most direct and understandable approach, Suzuki has also established his own global store website (http://global-store.info) to spread the idea of globalization- just like “ Computer City in Manhattan” or “a restaurant in a lane in Taipei.” The cities in which we live can all be reduced to the same graphic coordinates.
