家族三代從事廟宇傳統彩繪,曾祖父是台灣專業廟宇彩繪師傅、祖母是旗袍師,洪意晴耳濡目染下憑藉直覺繪製圖像,不打草稿直接進行創作的模式也成為習慣。

她對於線條的曲直與延伸去向,具備了本能似的嫻熟掌握度,畫面中有著重疊交叉、相遇追逐、互斥背離的點、線、面表情,一筆一畫的創作型態,類似於一種啟動情緒與抒發內在的修行模式,繁複竄動的線條、堆疊複製而大小落錯的圓點,以微觀角度而言,每一筆實屬抒情溫柔的意象,但且從遠觀畫面看來,卻儲備起一番蓄勢澎湃的流動張力。

Her family has been involved in the traditional painting of temples; her great grandfather was a professional temple painting artisan, while her grandmother was a cheongsam tailor. Deeply influenced by the artistic environment, Hung Yi-Ching painted images with her instincts and the creative method of direct creation without drafts became her habit.

Her control over the curvature or straightness of the lines is instinctive, with overlapping, converging and diverging dots, lines and facial expressions in her image. The creative form, made one stroke at a time, resembles an activation of emotions and the expression of inner qualities. The complex, convoluted lines overlap and are scattered around dots. From a microscopic point of view, each stroke is an imagery of sentiment and gentleness. From a macroscopic point of view, they show a dynamic and fluid tension.
