The annual Very Fun Park challenges the extremes in the scorching summer heat. The passion and searing weather exudes the kind of enthusiasm and ambiance that the Very Fun Park has to offer. Our communications and dialogues with the stores and artists have been incessant, often the nerves become tense when one is rushing between venues or in between frantic phone calls. We have attained the current status quo after approximately six months and the theme of “Looking up” was born. Since last year’s 10:10 Smile Movement, through the simple body gesture of Looking up, we have broadened our perspective and demonstrated how insignificantly small we are in contrast to the immensity of the Universe; in turn we shall learn how to be respectful and thankful in life.
As a matter of fact, to convey a certain attitude or reminder through such an exhibition has been the approach we have adopted over the years. In addition to sponsoring exhibitions, a more imaginative and comprehensible way of thinking is proposed to replace the so-called exhibition organizing ideals, thereby making the process more accessible to people so that they can appreciate and understand the ultimate objective. When Very Fun Park decided to come out of the museum, a more vivid language had be utilized to share the taste of beauty and creativity. Therefore, the theme was extremely important; it was also a reminder to the enterprises about the environment. By partaking in the exhibition, more understanding was created and the social responsibility of the enterprises has been developed. The supposed barrier to art and the prejudiced impressions of enterprises are deep-rooted in people’s hearts through the information and details of the exhibitions and this is an extremely difficult challenge and training.
Regardless of the changing environment, we believe that leading a wonderful life is the only guarantee to the quality of life. By maintaining optimism and a positive attitude, one will be endowed with a healthy spiritual immune system and, as a result, life becomes full of expectations and living becomes beautiful. Very Fun Park intends to share the joy of life with every participant in 2010!
一年一度的粉樂町，在酷暑當中挑戰極限，熱情加上窒熱的天氣，粉樂町展現的城市氣息就是席捲而來的熱力，而我們，穿梭在店家與藝術家之間的溝通和對話沒有間斷，往返在場域與忙不迭接聽的電話當中神經緊繃，我們透過約莫半年的時間拿捏今年的樣貌，然後「仰望」主題因應而生，繼去年的10:10微笑運動後，透過”仰望”這簡單的身體姿勢，讓可以看見的視野成為廣角，讓浩瀚的寰宇可以對照出自我的渺小，然後在生命當中更加懂得尊重與感恩。
