Liu stirs up the imagination hidden in everyday life. She reexamines at the ordinary through a special and strange angle, and her creative work goes against the existing state of space.
In OOPS! she uses a wall as her canvas and origami as her paint. Though they are different sizes, the paper “bunnies” are all folded in the same style, almost as if mass-produced. Through this on-site installation, the straight angles formed by the adjacent white wall and floor are redefined, transformed into a performance-like thematic installation where the planes are distorted and juxtaposed against different leveled spaces. Viewed in its entirety, the piece presents a surreal visual spatial sense amidst the real time and space inside the shop space.
With the concept of “Evolution,” SKONO hopes to convey love and jubilance through “Perfect Lines and Comfortable Engineering.” The abundant emotions contained in the simplicity of each pair of SKONO shoes transcend the boundaries of gender, age, and era. The comfortable interior of the Taipei store was created entirely for its patrons; it features PU flooring suitable for trying on shoes, while warm wooden displays and tile walls minimize interferences or hindrances while browsing.
