羽毛、竹管等材料，已成為游文富的創作符號。在他的裝置作品中，他擅長透過羽毛的觸動，或改變物料的原有形式，帶出對「風」、「水」、「聲音」等自然效應的觸覺，呈現出回歸自然的靜謐氛圍。

以竹作素材，是藝術家經過對「竹」材質的細微觀察後，運用竹子因天氣變化容易生霉斑的特性，來呈現時間與自然環境對「竹」所產生的變化。他將竹染以白色、淺紫、紫、深紫色，因著不同顏色來控制竹的毛細孔大小，以便掌控竹表面因為溼氣與自然接觸後產生多寡不同的霉斑；亦控制未來作品顏色隨著時光改變而產生漸層性的視覺效果。染色後的竹隨著霉斑的發展所產生的自然變化，就如植物的生長一樣令人期待。加上風吹擺動，竹的彈性、竹與竹間互擊的音響，讓漫步其中的人，不僅因視覺效果而動容，也隨著竹音而愉悅起來。

Bamboos tend to grow moldy easily. Yau Men-fu explores this characteristic of bamboos in his works to present time and nature’s effects. Different colour dyes are used to control the size of the pores of the bamboos, and the quantity of mildews on the bamboo surfaces are further orchestrated with a careful control of contact with moisture. Through the progression of time, the colorizations begin to take on a layered visual effect. The changes caused by the growth of mildew on the dyed bamboos come as naturally as the growth of plants. With the gentle blow of the wind, the bamboos sway and clash with each other, producing sounds which are amazingly crispy and bright. Whoever walks in this coloured field will experience the joy of entering a natural environment of tranqulity.
