「當你試著描述你人生的時候，是甚麼樣的東西迫使你去看、去思考，是甚麼樣的力量讓你最有感覺？」
如果一個人想將他的內在完完全全地曝露在公開場域之中，這種行為將會被如何歸類？是誠實、利己主義，還是暴力或正義，或是純粹只是一種膽大妄為的行徑？
菰田的作品以卡通角色為創作主題，流暢的線條勾勒出造型圓潤、眼神游移不定的角色，並以繽紛的點狀、塊面色彩將角色的內在特質和心境填充成為肌理，在童趣可愛的表象中，偷渡了荒謬與黑色幽默。
WE LIE THEREFORE WE ARE。身在處處充滿謊言的流行時尚產業，Angelia & Pets 便大膽直接地選擇以謊言為大家帶來更多的快樂與創意想像！而每一個謊言背後的想法，皆化身為每一個Angelia & Pets產品的結晶，戲謔嘲諷所謂流行的定義。
“What compels you to look and think as you try to describe your life? What is it that you feel most strongly about?”
How should we classify the desire to reveal our inner self? Is it an act of honesty or self-seeking? Is it an act of violence or justice? Perhaps it is just an obnoxious behavior.
Cartoon characters are the theme of artist Komoda’s creation. Smooth lines form the contour of some round figures with wondering eyes. Flamboyant dots and patches reflect the personality and inner state, while childlike appearance exudes black humor.
Through a tongue-in-cheek joke, Komoda’s work secretly echoes the brand philosophy of Angelia & Pets, a local independent brand of bags, with a rather ironic slogan: We lie therefore we are. Angelia & Pets baldly uses falsehood to generate more happiness and imagination in an industry rampant with lies, transforming the ideas behind every piece of lie into tangible products.
